Roam Supply Co. makes thoughtfully designed gear for travel, commuting and weekends away.

We started in Melbourne in 2018, because the bags we wanted did not exist. The ones built for travel could not carry weight comfortably. The ones built for hiking had nowhere to put a laptop. Everything else was a compromise nobody had thought about very hard.

How we design

We start from a trip, not a category. A two-week trip out of a carry-on is a different problem from a weekend away or a day on a wet ridge, and the honest answer is that no single bag solves all three. So we build a small range where each product is clearly better at something, and we tell you what it is worse at.

That is why our product pages carry weights, capacities and ratings rather than adjectives. A pack that is lighter has less suspension. A shell that is more waterproof is less breathable. Those trade-offs are the product.

Materials

We use recycled fabrics where they perform as well as virgin ones, which today means most of our packs and shells. Our merino is mulesing-free and traceable to its growers. We are not going to claim the result is carbon neutral, because we have not measured it well enough to say so.

Repairs

Everything we make carries a lifetime warranty against defects, and we repair what is not covered at cost. Gear that gets repaired is gear that does not get replaced.
