The detail
The 190 gsm long sleeve is the piece most people wear most of the year: warm enough alone in spring and autumn, and a proper base layer under a shell in winter.
Slightly dropped hem so it stays tucked in under a pack, and flatlock seams throughout.
The trade-off
At 190 gsm it is too warm for a hot day and not enough on its own in real cold. That is what makes it the useful middle.
