The detail

Thirty litres, cabin approved, 16-inch laptop sleeve, 1.15 kg. The Wayfare sits deliberately between the Meridian and the Nomad: more capacity than a commuter pack, less structure than a travel pack.

A simpler frame is what buys the weight back, and on a carrier enforcing a 7 kg cabin limit that difference is roughly two more days of clothes.

The trade-off

It does not open fully flat, so packing is less orderly than the Nomad’s clamshell. In exchange it is the easiest pack here to keep under a strict allowance.
